Your Role:

  • Greet and introduce yourself to patients
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms
  • Utilize electronic records system to update information
  • Collect and create new and updated patient information such as patient history
  • Manage patient flow and intake
  • Prep trays, instruments, and patient rooms prior to patient’s arrival
  • Perform injections on patients as requested by physician
  • Record biopsies performed and cancers detected in log book
  • Respond to requests from patients and physicians as needed
  • Call pharmacies to order prescriptions and refills as needed
  • Scribe for the physician(s) on duty and select billing codes as directed
  • Track, order, sort, and restock medical office supplies
  • Schedule appointments as needed
  • Answer the office phone as needed
  • Return patient calls and perform medical information call backs as needed
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as routinely cleaning kitchen and patient rooms
  • Attend annual OSHA meetings and abide by OSHA, HIPAA, and other relevant medical office regulations

Your Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Diploma and/or Certification
  • Good listening skills
  • A positive attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to make patients feel comfortable, welcome, and heard
  • Prior medical environment experience is a plus
  • Experience working with electronic medical records is a plus
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test
