Juvederm Vollure is a gel of medium density and texture, which means it’s able to soften moderate to deep lines, particularly in the lower half of the face. It’s great for smoothing smile lines and marionette lines (running from the corners of the mouth, down the chin), but it’s also light enough to preserve facial flexibility, allowing natural movement and expressions.

What is treatment like?

Depending on the area being treated, treatment takes between 15 minutes to an hour. Juvederm Vollure gel is injected into your face using small needles. The gel itself contains a numbing agent to minimize pain. You may feel a quick pinch each time the needle goes in and a bit of pressure as the filler is injected.

You may have temporary (under two weeks) swelling, redness, or mild bruising, but there is no downtime. It’s helpful to stop taking anti-inflammatories such as fish oil, Advil, and aspirin a week before treatment to minimize bruising.

What are the results?

You’ll see immediate results, although it may take a few days for the filler to “set” into its more stable, long-lasting form. Your skin will be flexible and touchable, and your lines will be much less noticeable. These results may last for up to 18 months.

Voluma is Juvederm’s thickest, firmest gel. Because of this, it lasts the longest, and it’s used to add incredible volume to cheeks.
