What are you looking for?
Radiesse® is an injectable dermal filler and biostimulator made with calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA, suspended in a smooth gel. It provides immediate support and volume while stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, helping the skin appear firmer, smoother, and more resilient over time.
Depending on the formulation and treatment method, Radiesse® may be used to soften moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, improve jawline definition, restore volume to the backs of the hands, or improve wrinkles of the décolleté. Our providers will create a personalized treatment plan based on your anatomy, skin quality, and desired results.
Who is it for?
Radiesse® may be appropriate for adults experiencing facial volume loss, deeper wrinkles and folds, reduced jawline definition, or loose and thinning skin. It may also be used for patients seeking gradual improvement in skin firmness and overall quality without dramatically changing their natural appearance.
Do not receive Radiesse® if you have a bleeding disorder, a history of severe allergies, or an allergy to any ingredient in the product. Radiesse® (+) should not be used by patients who are allergic to lidocaine or similar medications. Tell your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, take medications that increase bleeding, or have a history of cold sores or unusual scarring.
What is treatment like?
Radiesse® is injected beneath the skin using a fine needle or cannula during a brief in-office appointment. The amount used and injection technique will depend on whether the goal is to restore volume, enhance facial contours, or stimulate collagen and improve skin quality.
Temporary swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, itching, or discomfort may occur around the treatment area. Most patients have little to no downtime. You should avoid strenuous activity and extensive heat or sun exposure for approximately 24 hours and until the initial redness and swelling have resolved.
What are the results?
Volume correction and smoothing may be visible immediately following treatment. As Radiesse® stimulates collagen and elastin production, skin firmness, texture, and quality may continue to improve gradually over time. Results have been shown to last for up to two years, although the duration will depend on the treatment area, amount used, individual metabolism, and treatment plan.
